Letting Reiff walk is yet another sign that the Bears could be looking for an upgrade at right tackle. Reiff appeared in 16 games, starting 10 during his lone season in Chicago. When Borom suffered a concussion during a Week 7 game against New England, Reiff stepped in as the starting right tackle the following week and never relinquished the job.

Reiff initially served as a backup behind second-year pro Larry Borom at the right tackle position. He came to Chicago with 10 years of NFL experience, stepping in to help an offensive line that had very little experience.
